Jim Schultz is your average guy in his 20′s. He likes music and beer. He has a Star Wars poster adorned in his house. Oh yeah, the Star Wars poster is on the wall of his brand new sound recording studio AKA Turbulent Productions.
The built-from-scratch studio boasts a room with a full drum kit with lots of plugs to play other instruments, as well as a separate vocals recording room with a flat screen monitor, and a mastering room with a full tilt soundboard, additional keyboards and guitars. Jim held an open house and did this exclusive interview with Fan-Culture.org about his inspirations.
He talks about how he grew up with musical influences in his family, went to Full Sail, and ultimately bought his own house where the studio is now. What would be a big goal to him as a fan crossing over as a professional music/audio producer? “My dream client would be Steve Wilson of Porcupine Tree,” Jim states.
You can watch the whole interview and see his studio HERE, but you can also help Jim out by writing to Steve Wilson on his Facebook HERE or tweeting Porcupine Tree HERE to ask if his favorite musician would check out Jim’s studio sometime!
